Our Venues

The Jayhawk Welcome Center is the newest addition to the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence. Opened in February 2023, the center is an outstanding location for meetings and special events. With spectacular views of campus, our spaces include state-of-the-art technology and Rock Chalk flair. Our venues offer a wide range of possibilities to create your ideal event.

World-Class

Whether your occasion is a banquet dinner, happy-hour reception, small meeting or corporate event, the Jayhawk Welcome Center offers top-notch venues and amenities to fit your needs. Hover over our venues below to view features and capacities.

Berkley Presentation Room

Capacity: 216

Perfect for large galas and banquet dinners. Booked together or separately with the iconic mural wall featuring campus’ most prestigious buildings and facilities. Combined event spaces allow seating for 216. This venue offers premium sound and media projection through wireless Airtame technology; add the Glorious to View pre-function space to elevate your event.

Paul Adam Lounge

Capacity: 56

Looking to host a lunch and learn? Need live meeting capabilities for your board retreat? A private space for an important update? Our meeting spaces, including the Paul Adam Lounge, can provide an excellent setting, booked together or separately.

Bruckmiller Room

Capacity: 112

With two projectors and screens, this room is a fit for small or medium-size gatherings. Add the Seymour Pub or All-American Room (located nearby) to expand the space.

Summerfield Room

Capacity: 112

Located on the first floor of the Adams Alumni Center, this venue is a match for your small meeting or social gathering. The room is complete with wireless Airtame technology and a private caterer access door.

The Pub

Sporting the original doors from Old Fraser Hall, this modern with a traditional feel venue is ideal for your brunch meeting, happy hour, or game-day reception. The Pub has six flat-screen televisions for easy viewing of presentations or sporting events. Come see some of the original University pennants and letterman sweaters!

Adams Board Room

Capacity: 16

Boasting one of the best views on campus, this venue is complete with video conferencing technology and perfect for your board meeting or luncheon. Be sure to take pictures from the balcony!

All-American Room

Across from the Seymour Pub and Bruckmiller Room, this space is excellent for cocktail receptions or one-on-one conversations.

Glorious to View

The name speaks for itself: one of the best views of campus. This lobby is an outstanding add-on space for a pre-reception, tradeshow hall or silent auction space. Located near the Berkley Presentation Room.

Welcome Lobby

Boasting a two-story screen, this is a great addition as a pre-function space for your event. Watch your guests’ eyes light up as bright as the Welcome Board.

Host a Meeting or Conference

The Adams Alumni Center offers ideal space for meetings, luncheons, staff retreats and corporate events. Twelve unique room are available. Depending on your event’s configuration, the Center can accommodate as many as 250 people.

The convenient campus location makes the Center a perfect location for birthdays, anniversary parties or any kind of celebration with family and friends.
