Welcome Home, ‘Hawks!
The Adams Alumni Center is your portal to KU and your first stop on any campus trip. The building is open to the public and our office hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Events may be scheduled in the evenings or Saturdays. On home football game days; the first-floor receptionist and Alumni Association staff are available to welcome you back to your alma mater and answer any questions you might have.
Constructed in 1983, the center stands at the northeast corner of campus at 1266 Oread Ave., across from the Kansas Union. It serves the entire University of Kansas community, including alumni, KU friends and current or retired faculty and staff. Rooms may be rented for University- and alumni-related functions.
Inviting ambiance and a convenient campus location make the Adams Alumni Center an ideal spot for meetings, lectures, dinners, weddings and receptions. Alumni and University departments may rent any of the center’s 12 unique rooms. Depending on the configuration and event, the center can hold as many as 250 people. Most rooms include Internet access, and audiovisual support equipment is available. Rooms, rates and the center’s rental policies, bar service, our list of caterers, and more can be viewed online. Home to the KU Alumni Association’s national office, the third (top) floor is the hub for all alumni programs and services. Essential to the operations is the database of 500,000 records of KU alumni. Supporting approximately 44,000 members, Association staff maintain your favorite programs including: the awards program, Kansas Honors Program, chapters programs, Flying Jayhawks, Homecoming and Commencement activities, the Student Alumni Association, the Alumni Directory, reunions and more! The center is also home to your favorite association publication: Kansas Alumni magazine publishes six times a year.
