Rather than walking down the Hill, players and coaches will now be dropped off at the stadium’s south perimeter, near the practice fields, two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff, and walk from there to the Anderson Family Football Complex. Fans are encouraged to line the walk to greet and cheer on the ‘Hawks.
Watch for players taking the field through a new team tunnel, now outfitted with pyrotechnics, and new high-definition ribbon boards in the north end zone that will feature updated game stats and crowd prompts.
Under KU’s new beer-and-wine sales policy, the following will be available for purchase inside the stadium: Budweiser, Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, Goose Island IPA, Bon & Viv Spiked Seltzer, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Note that with alcohol sales now permitted inside the stadium, a no re-entry policy will be strictly enforced, and alcohol sales will stop at the end of the third quarter.
Kansas Athletics has partnered with the Jayhawk Buddy System, a student-led safety initiative, to provide four hydration stations throughout the stadium, and fans can bring in one unopened or empty bottle of water per person. In addition, four Designated Driver Stations will be available, one in each corner of the main concourse, and each fan who signs up as a designated driver will receive a voucher for a free Aquafina or Pepsi beverage.
Kansas Athletics has implemented a clear-bag policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into Kansas Athletics sporting events.
The Kansas Athletics website provides more information about the policy and what will be allowed into events.
According to KU’s Parking & Transit Office:
During home football games, a specific permit is required to park in lots 1, 3, 36, 39, 50, 52, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 65, 91, 94, 96, and the Mississippi Street Garage. Permits for games are issued by the Williams Fund. Toll parking for those attending the game without Williams Fund permit may be available on a first come/first served basis in lots 34, 54, 61/62, and 72 for $20 per space.
Accessible Game Parking
Accessible spaces are available in two parking lots adjacent to the stadium, in lots 59 (14 spaces), and 94 (26 spaces); and also near the game shuttle in lots 33 (4 spaces), 54 (3 spaces), and 72 (13 spaces). Toll costs $20 per vehicle. Spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis.
There is a free game shuttle that begins two hours before kickoff and ends one hour after the game finishes. It has pickup locations outside the Allen Fieldhouse garage and along Sunnyside Avenue by the Computer Center.
Or, park in downtown Lawrence and ride a bus to Memorial Stadium. The cost is $1 each way for each passenger. Park for free in three parking garages downtown (New Hampshire Street garage, Vermont Street garage and lower level/ramps of the Riverfront garage) and choose from four different pick-up locations. The service runs for two hours prior to kick-off and for one hour following the game.
Signs on the buses will display #11 Downtown/Football Service.

- On the west side of Vermont Street north of 8th (in front of Douglas County Senior Services)

The “preferred” ride-share drop-off point for pregame Uber and Lyft traffic is on Memorial Drive, atop the Hill south of the stadium. A pickup location outside of the postgame traffic pattern has been established for ride-share traffic at metered parking on Indiana Street, in front of HERE Apartments.
