Get involved with KU in your community! Chapters, which are officially chartered by the Alumni Association, gather alumni across the country for watch parties, golf tournaments, wine tastings, young alumni networking events, student recruitment activities and more.
Congratulations to the 2008 Chapter Challenge winners! In the national competition, the Black Alumni Chapter claimed the large chapter division of the Jayhawk Nation Chapter Challenge, and the Austin Chapter won the small chapter division. The Kansas City Chapter welcomed more than 520 new or upgraded members, surpassing its goal of 500. And the Southwest Kansas Chapter led the way in the Paint the State Blue Membership Campaign with an overall membership percentage increase of 4 percent. Jayhawks for Higher Education
Help KU make its case in Topeka. Jayhawks for Higher Education advocate the needs of the University and higher education to the Kansas State Legistature.
Tradition Keepers
Future alumni can join the KU Alumni Association too! Tradition Keepers are student members of the Alumni Association and receive their own membership packets, including a T-shirt, pint glass, bucket and discounts to local merchants such as 10 percent off of Kaplan classes and merchandise at KU Bookstores.
Student Alumni Association
SAA is a student organization created for Tradition Keepers who want to promote KU spirit, pride and tradition, and become active in the Alumni Association. SAA members serve as the volunteer corps of the Alumni Association. They sponsor campus events, complete community service projects and assist at Association activities. SAA also offers leadership development opportunities at national conferences.
Kansas Honors Program
Each year the Kansas Honors Program recognizes the top 10 percent of high school seniors throughout the state. This year, the program will honor its 100,000th student.
Jayhawk Generations
Incoming freshmen and transfer students are honored at welcome picnics throughout the state and featured in the Kansas Alumni magazine each year.
