In this competitive era, the University of Kansas needs alumni and friends now more than ever. Jayhawks must tell KU’s story in all corners of the nation and the world.

The Association must expand its strong volunteer network to help meet key University needs. By reaching out to more Jayhawks, the Association can:

  • Engage greater numbers of alumni who can make the case for KU
  • Help recruit the best students
  • Identify new volunteer leaders for KU advisory boards
  • Inform alumni to create knowledgeable advocates in state and federal lobbying
  • Identify new donor prospects by assisting the KU Endowment Association

    Gifts in support of the Alumni Association will provide funds to grow new programs that strengthen our ability to build an even stronger Alumni Association for KU.

    Stable sources of revenue will help the Association continue to expand its volunteer network. To build this stability, the Association and the KU Endowment Association have created two giving opportunities: annual donations to make an immediate impact on building and expanding alumni programs, and endowed funds to provide income for sustaining and creating alumni programs for future generations.

    Income from these sources will help meet the costs of reaching out to more Jayhawks:

  • Technology costs for Web site development, e-mail delivery and streaming video from Lawrence
  • Printing and mailing to alumni, including invitations
  • Speakers’ fees and travel costs for high-profile presenters
  • Travel for University and Association staff
  • Event costs for location and food
