The Rock Chalk Ball, hosted by the Greater Kansas City Area Chapter and the KU Alumni Association, celebrates the proud achievements, lively traditions and loyal alumni of the University of Kansas. Now in its 13th year, the Rock Chalk Ball raises funds for Association programming.

New concept, same Crimson and Blue loyalty

Join us to celebrate an all new Rock Chalk Ball. We've shaken things up—the 2008 ball has been restructured in response to the Rock Chalk Ball survey sent to all of last year's attendees. New this year is an open schedule with "dining at your leisure." Enjoy cocktails, bid on the auction items, and dine when you want. The Marching Jayhawks will be there with rousing KU spirit, and the dance party features Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band. The new Grand Ballroom at Bartle Hall is a spectacular venue for a fun and exciting evening. Click here to see the full schedule of events.

Benefactors

Rock Chalk Ball Benefactors are generous companies and individuals who support the event at a higher giving level. You'll enjoy benefits with each level of sponsorship. This annual event would not be possible without the continued assistance of these outstanding patrons. We recognize benefactors in a variety of ways, including our VIP pre-party and program recognition.

Table Hosts

Each year, groups of Jayhawks get together to attend the ball. Table hosts enjoy seating for a table of 10 and will be recognized in the Kansas Alumni magazine, the Auction Program and on the Rock Chalk Ball Web site. Auction

As one of the most exciting and anticipated ingredients in every Rock Chalk Ball, the auction also raises money for the KU Alumni Association. Fill out our online auction donor form to contribute an item for this year's silent auction. Check back soon to preview the exciting items that will be available.

Parking and hotel information

Valet parking will be available at the ballroom entrance (16th and Wyandotte). All 2008 Rock Chalk Ball hotel rooms are being held under "Rock Chalk Ball." Room blocks will be released on Friday, March 14. Click here for more information.
