University Relations
Homecoming
A growing tradition on Mt. Oread, KU Homecoming is an excellent opportunity for organizations on campus to come together, enjoy some friendly competition, and celebrate everything KU. Student Alumni Association members participate annually in Homecoming activities such as spirit contests, the parade and much more!.
Tailgates at the Adams
KU fans bleed Crimson and Blue. Prior to every home football game, spirited students, parents and alumni gather at the Adams Alumni Center for food and drinks.
KU/MU Drum Exchange
One of the longest running traditions in college football, rivals KU and the University of Missouri meet every year to wage battle for a coveted trophy - a marching band drum bearing the logos of both universities. As ambassadors of the university, SAA and the MU Student Alumni Board help carry on this long-running tradition. The school that wins the controversial game receives the drum and displays it until the following year. This event allows for the alumni organizations of both universities to meet as well as support the heated rivalry.
