James Pottorff Named Vice President and General Counsel | University of Nebraska Omaha

University of Nebraska President Hank Bounds announced today that following a national search, he has appointed James Pottorff, l’84, as the university’s next vice president and general counsel. Pottorff, who brings more than 25 years of senior legal experience in public higher education and the U.S. military, will begin at NU on Sept. 10, pending approval of the Board of Regents at its Aug. 3 meeting.

Law professor wins national teaching award from mineral law foundation | The University of Kansas

University of Kansas School of Law Professor John Peck, l’74, was awarded the 2018 Clyde O. Martz Teaching Award by the trustees of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation. The national award recognizes excellent teachers who foster a broad understanding of the law, mentor students and teach in an innovative style.
