Kevin Kane Named Defensive Coordinator | SMU Athletics

Southern Methodist University’s head football coach Sonny Dykes announced the addition of Kevin Kane, c’06, as the Mustangs’ defensive coordinator. Kane spent the 2016-17 seasons as the defensive coordinator at Northern Illinois. During the 2015 season, Kane coached linebackers at Kansas.

Former tech exec, Lawrence native Brian McClendon announces run for Kansas secretary of state | Lawrence Journal-World

Brian McClendon, e’86, has filed to run for Kansas secretary of state in 2018. McClendon, a Lawrence native and University of Kansas graduate, was previously a vice president at Uber and Google, and co-founded Google Earth. He is currently a research professor at the university.
