Rob Riggle showed Chicago Jayhawks Saturday why he’s a sought-after comedian and actor. About 50 KU alumni and friends showed their support for Riggle, c’93, as he performed at Second City’s UP Comedy Club.
Riggle is known for his work on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” “Saturday Night Live,” “The Hangover” and “Step Brothers,” among other projects.
“Afterward, we had a quick meet-and-greet, where we all got to meet Rob, take pictures and thank him for an awesome night,” says Jaime Zazove, c’07, president of the Chicago Chapter of the KU Alumni Association. Kevin Corbett, c’88, president of the Alumni Association, also was on hand.
And for the show itself? It was hilarious, Zazove says.
“Rob even managed to squeeze in a good ‘Missouri sucks’ joke to get us going,” she says. “Everyone was laughing the whole time.”
