Mystical ruins and glittering beaches entice Jayhawk travelers

Flying Jayhawks travelers departed from Miami on Jan. 20 and spent 18 nights sailing from Florida to Ecuador aboard the luxury cruise ship Regatta.

Ports included Key West; Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico; Belize City, Belize; Santo Tomas, Guatemala; Roatan, Honduras; Puerto Limon, Costa Rica; Fuerte Amador, Panama; and Manta, Ecuador. A highlight of the trip included passage through the Panama Canal, the famed waterway that connects the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.
