For the third consecutive year, Truity Credit Union will sponsor the KU Alumni Association’s Home Football Fridays for University of Kansas students as well as six TGIT receptions for faculty and staff on Thursdays during the fall and spring semesters. New this year is Truity’s gold-level sponsorship of the KU Veteran’s Day 5K run, Sunday, Nov. 11, at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
The next Home Football Friday lunch for students will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 14 on the front lawn of the Adams Alumni Center, 1266 Oread Ave. on the Lawrence campus. The events, hosted by the Student Alumni Network, occur on Fridays in conjunction with home games throughout the season and feature free food, beverages, cookies and giveaways from seven area restaurants in the Student Alumni Network’s Restaurant Partner Program.
The Alumni Association will welcome KU faculty and staff to the Alumni Center for TGIT receptions from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 6, Oct. 25 and Nov. 15 during the fall semester and Feb. 28, March 28 and April (TBD) during the spring 2019 semester. The receptions will include drink specials, snacks and giveaways.
“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Truity Credit Union,” said Heath Peterson, KU Alumni Association president. “For the past two years, Truity has helped us connect with KU students, faculty and staff, and we look forward to strengthening those relationships again this year.”
“We continue our commitment to support the KU Alumni Association and the KU Student Alumni Network because it’s a true partnership between our organizations,” said Tim Mock, business development officer for Truity. “Truity is all about relationships and the people and communities we serve, and to have the opportunity to deliver on these values through the work of the Alumni Association makes total sense for our brand.”
