Alumni play an important role in helping to recruit new students to the University of Kansas. During the fall semester, hundreds of college information fairs take place around the country, and alumni are often called upon to help represent KU.
The Alumni Association has worked closely with KU’s Office of Admissions again this year to find alumni volunteers to help staff as many college fairs as possible.
Three college fairs were held recently in the San Antonio metropolitan area, with seven faithful members of the San Antonio Chapter helping to spread the KU message to prospective students.
Thank you to the following Jayhawks— all proud Alumni Association members— who volunteered their time: Bruce Barker, j’70, chapter leader; Alan Craven, c’58, g’63, g’75; Andi Sutter, ’12; John Callaghan, c’69; Margee Clark, n’74; and Peter, c’72, and Martha Suess, f’69.
Another college fair will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 4-6 p.m. at Edison High School in San Antonio. If you’re interested in volunteering for a college fair in your area, contact Kim Beeler, college fair and HAWK coordinator for the KU Office of Admissions, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re grateful to our loyal members and volunteers throughout the nation!
