Welcome to the
Smoky Hill Kansas Chapter
of the KU Alumni Association

Welcome to the Smoky Hill Chapter of the KU Alumni Association! We are determined to make KU and its alumni and friends the most recognizable and influential Alumni Association in the country. But first, we need to take care of business at home!

There are more than 1,000 KU alumni in our region! Many are already members of the KU Alumni Association, and one of our goals is to be seen and heard throughout the area. How can we do this and what can we accomplish?

1. Help KU attract the best and brightest Kansas students to the University. The alumni have great influence over the younger generation of future Jayhawks.

2. Increase the presence of KU in our region, not just in athletics, but in all aspects of University life.

3. Watch parties, we will designate an official location for KU watch parties—a place to be with other KU fans to root for the crimson and blue. We’ll also have one or two watch parties each year sponsored by the KU Alumni Association with food and drinks provided.

4. Hold a golf tournament at the Smoky Hill County Club in Hays. This is a fundraiser for the Association and will attract area alumni and friends to meet with coaches, athletic administration, and University administration while playing golf! A dinner follows with special guests speaking about their programs.

5. Influence legislators as they tackle difficult issues affecting higher education, especially KU.

Check our website frequently for dates and announcements. We are excited about this opportunity to rally around the crimson and blue flag and take KU to new heights.
