The Chicago Chapter of the Kansas Alumni Association is growing, and we have added additional watch sites to make it even more convenient for you to get together with fellow Kansas alumni to cheer on your Jayhawks! The most recent additions to our list are The Fox and Hound in Schaumburg and Grill 21 in Libertyville. We also have a watch site in the south loop, Junior's Sports Lounge (game day specails include: 10% off the food menu, $5 pitchers), which is owned by KU's own Gale Sayers, d'75, g'77. Lottie's in Bucktown and Kincade's in Lincoln Park are both still chalk full of 'Hawks on game days! Join us at any of these locations for a few brews, some good food and KU company.
Chicago Chapter T-shirts are now available, just in time for the 2009 football season! The cost is $10 each and they will be sold at chapter events and watch parties. Click here to see an image of both the front and back of this great game day shirt.
Chicago Chapter food drive: Through Dec. 22, you'll find donation boxes for non-perishable items at all of our watch sites during KU games. The Chicago Food Depository will pick up the full boxes and deliver them to food pantries throughout the city at no cost. Alumni who bring in at least 3 food items will receive a special drink offer. We hope to see you at KU watch parties with donations in hand!
