Johnny's Tavern:

The Scene
Johnny's Tavern was originally started in Lawrence in 1953, so naturally it's a long time KU hangout. This tradition carries over to its four Kansas City area locations where Jayhawk fans regularly gather on game day.

The Draw
Enjoy the new non-smoking room with its own entrance at Johnny's Shawnee! This family-friendly atmosphere is great for the whole family to catch KU action.

Johnny's Overland Park has recently added 11 high definition televisions for your viewing pleasure. The tavern also boasts eight satellite dishes so you can catch several games at once! What better way to watch the 'Hawks take on the competition? And don't forget to show your KU Alumni Association card at any Johnny's location to receive a free appetizer anytime KU plays a televised game.

Dark Horse Tavern:

The Scene
Dark Horse Tavern is fast becoming Westport's KU bar. Owned and operated by KU alumni, it is located in the heart of the district and surrounded by other Big 12 bars. If you're looking for a Jayhawk-friendly Missouri-side hangout, this is it!

The Draw
The unique atmosphere creates a cozy mood with brick walls enclosing the space. Offering Torres Pizza and plenty of brews. Close to Kemper Arena, this location is especially nice for pre- or post-arena game gatherings. Members, don't forget to show your KU Alumni Association card on game day and receive 10% off your bill!

Lew's Grill and Bar:

The Scene
In Missouri there is no better place than Lew's Grill & Bar in Waldo. Located just a few miles south of the Plaza at 75th and Wornall, Lew's offers a safe haven for all Kansas fans.

The Draw
Enjoy Lew's award-winning food and the 16 plasma, big screen and high definition televisions tuned into all KU games. Any table that sports an Association membership card on game day gets a free spinach dip appetizer and drink specials!

Jaywalkers Sports Bar & Grill:

The Scene
Jaywalkers is the sister bar of the Dark Horse Tavern, and just as good of a Jayhawk hangout on gamedays. Jaywalkers is open for lunch and dinner, and offers a full menu late into the night.

The Draw
With plenty of TV's showing all the Big 12 games you could ask for, Jaywalkers is a great place to fill up while you watch KU in action. Enjoy their 1/2-lb Certified Angus beef burger made to order on a famous pretzel bun and top it off with one of 17 cold tap beers, including Free State and Boulevard. Bring your KU Alumni Association membership card to Jaywalkers on game day and receive 10% off your bill!

The Cashew:

The Scene
The Cashew is home to KUAA's Big Blue Mondays. This restaurant is a great venue with spectacular views and both indoor and outdoor seating possibilities. Located in the heart of downtown Kansas City, The Cashew is sure to become even more popular with the revitalization of the area and the new Sprint Center.

The Draw
The Cashew was nominated for the best bar, best cocktails and best date spot for 2007 by AOL's Cities Best poll. You'll enjoy a fabulous atmosphere with a wide selection of food. Members, don't forget to bring your KU Alumni Association membership card to receive a free hummus appetizer on game day!
